In the second DiViAS workshop, the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformatics welcomed the DiViAS team to its premises in Hanover. The workshop began with a discussion of previously raised questions regarding a digital platform for presenting cultural-historical collection items. Based on these questions, various user groups with an interest in the collections were identified. Divided into three groups, the participants discussed the requirements and risks associated with such a platform for source communities, museum visitors and researchers. While notable similarities emerged across the groups, differences were also identified, all of which now serve as a basis for the further work on the project.
