Team

The research association is centred around the close collaboration of leading scientific institutions in history and cultural studies, museum and provenance research, as well as metrology, (geo)informatics, and artificial intelligence. For years, scientists in Oldenburg have been conducting internationally networked research in close spatial and thematic proximity, focusing on different aspects of collections from colonial contexts and digitization. Expertise in cartography and visualization is provided by the Leibniz University Hannover. The VZG in Göttingen will oversee the integration within the existing state IT infrastructure for cultural heritage in Lower Saxony.
